Catholic Schools Week
The SJA community began its annual celebration of our school’s catholicity this past Sunday morning with a pancake breakfast in the Parish Hall. The food was excellent, and many parishioners and school families joined together to mark the onset of a traditionally special week in the school calendar. We also had our Open House for both new families and those currently enrolled. Thank you all for stopping by to visit and for your time spent reviewing the student work displayed and presented by our talented children. As we prepare for our upcoming WASC review, faculty and staff are working especially hard to have our school site looking its very best, and to excite and prepare our students for this important accreditation process. Please keep us in your prayers as we endeavor to fair well in our school wide evaluation.
There are lots of fun and special events taking place this week! If you are able to join in our school wide Mass held Wed. 1/30, please do. Students in the 5-6th grades are leading the service, and are sure to do an impressive job! Thursday, the students get a day of free dress, an ice-cream treat on the yard with their class, and to watch the annual teacher vs. student council volleyball game. That should be a spirited day for the Knights, students and teachers alike=) Stay tuned for more on what’s coming up at SJA…we are a busy and growth-filled community, where it is always a great day to learn something new!
